For this episode, we are in the lagoon town of Aitolko (Greece)), with our partner Tavros, to experience their Creative Assembly together.

TAVROS is an independent art space founded in 2019 as a response to the current social and political circumstances, by exploring notions of democracy, equality and ecology whilst looking to address these issues head-on through dialogue, listening and learning. TAVROS has consistently nurtured ecological practices, thinking with artists, scientists and cultural practitioners while expanding its curatorial outlook to territories and ecologies that need our attention and care.

Vanishing Landscapes is a two-year research project, which culminated in a four-day on-site gathering at the fragile lagoon of the Aitolko basin in central Greece in March 2025. Artists, architects, and other cultural practitioners were invited to respond to the fragile lagoon ecosystem and to collaborate with the communities that live and work by it. The gathering was a positive case study of ways that culture and ecological thinking can resonate and impact decentralised geographies, providing community value far from the tourist gaze.
