For this episode, we are in ArtMill (Czech Republic), with our partner ArtMill – ArtDialog, to experience their Creative Assembly together.

ArtMill – ArtDialog is a non-profit organization working in sustainable education via the arts and sciences, with international outreach that ultimately has the potential to affect policy. We produce exhibitions, catalogues, educational programs, workshops and other visual manifestations to promote our goals of stewardship of the planet and social change. This takes place at ArtMill in Czech Republic, as well as project locations globally.

Their vision is to expand the definition of Art into the larger cultural context. ArtDialog does this by fostering creativity and it’s innate connection to the natural world; a place where nature and culture meet that is holistic, experiential, and sustainable. They foster a praxis-based, educational environment that grows from the natural sciences, philosophy and civil society, the arts, and the systems that organize them

This summer, ArtMill hosted its Creative Assembly at the ArtMill Center for Regenerative Arts. The gathering unfolded in two parts, combining focused work sessions with a public celebration of artistic and ecological practices.

The Creative Assembly at ArtMill embodied the mission of Transformative Territories: to explore how artistic practice can create conditions for ecological and social transformation. From ancestral weaving and constellation practices to cob-building and collective dreaming, this Creative Assembly wove together diverse practices and perspectives, reminding us that thriving futures emerge through cohabitation, imagination, and resilience.

Transformative Territories explores the role of the arts and transformative artistic practices across territories through transnational research-creations, collective gatherings, the guidance of a scientific committee, the development of methodological tools, and their dissemination.
